Title: CNC Programmer / Setter.

Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire.

Duration: Permanent.

Start Date: ASAP

  • £27k-£35k per annum (dependent upon experience).

Aros Group Ltd specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of Motorsport and Automotive specific components to a global customer network. A private owned company with a stable and highly motivated workforce, we now have an exciting opportunity to recruit a CNC Technician who can look to enjoy a long term and progressive career within the group.


This is a varied role which entails many responsibilities. It is essential that candidates have a proven experience of programming and operating CNC machines. As an individual you must be a great communicator, positive, organised and proactive. You will be passionate and a true team player, working under the General manager and together with the Machine Operatives, to deliver industry leading quality products. 


Key Criteria:


  • Minimum experience of five years working within a manufacturing / engineering environment.

  • Proven experience of 3D programming techniques, 3D CAD / CAM essential. 

  • Experience of fixture and jig design to suit associated programmes and machines. 

  • Fluent with CNC machine operation and conventional machine tools.  

  • Experience of machining precision prismatic and turned components.

  • Able to read and fully interpret detailed engineering drawings.

  • Working to ISO standards. 

  • Exceptional organisation skills.

  • Computer Literate – SAP and basic word & Excel.

  • ONC / HNC / City & Guilds or equivalent in Engineering (preferred but not essential depending on previous experience).


Key Responsibilities:


  • Generate programmes for existing and new product designs, for input to a range of machines.

  • Design and aid in the production of sub-assemblies such as Jigs and fixtures.

  • Provide feedback to CAD engineers.

  • Look to improve efficiency and streamline processes.  

  • Working closely with both purchasing and sales, assisting in the allocation of appropriate timescales and costs connected to production. 

  • Keep records and regular quality / stock checks of machine tools, fixtures and jigs.
